Overview

THE ROLE:

 

To control and assure quality and provide technical support for production by means of microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished products. Provide technical support to other corporate groups including Research and Development and Global Licensing. Role will be 100% onsite here in our lab  at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in Lake Forest, CA.

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

  • Perform test of raw materials and finished products for microbial contamination.
  • Perform preservative efficacy testing.
  • Assist in trouble shooting production problems.
  • Provide assistance in training personnel.
  • Prepare and standardize all reagents.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Validate procedures used in the micro lab.
  • Assist in the development of microbiological specifications for new product introductions.
  • Prepare and present technical reports to managers, co-workers, and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications

 

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

 

Skills:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or related field

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Quality Control in healthcare or pharmaceutical Industry
  • 5 years' prior experience in Quality Control laboratory setting
