Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

 

The Service Packer will be expected to properly packing outgoing Distributor and Employee orders and will be responsible for ensuring each shipping box/package is properly packed following departmental shipping standards and guidelines.

 

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

 

  • Ensure all machinery is fully functional prior to beginning the packaging process and that and packaging materials are available on a daily basis.
  • Release walk-in and will-call orders to the Distributors following product release departmental guidelines.
  • Perform computer functions using the walk-in terminal as necessary.
  • Responsible in assisting in maintaining all department hardware in good working condition and appearance. Hardware includes: scanners, printers, PTL modules, conveyor, tapers, strapping machine, air pillow machine, computers and other related items. Notify the Lead or Supervisor of signs of damage or irregularities on any equipment.
  • Maintain a productivity rate based on the standards established by DC management.
  • Responsible for maintaining timekeeping policy, for example: bring employee badge daily to clock in/out, notify supervisor immediately of any badge issues.
  • Stack orders on appropriate truck or pallet.
  • Follow and adhere to all Herbalife policies, rules and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Skills:

 

  • Organizational and problem solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to changing priorities
  • Resolve minor problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision

 

Experience:

 

  • 1-3  years in general warehouse environment
  • Order picking, packing and shipping experience
  • 1-3 years Customer Serviceexperience

 

Education:

 

  • High school education or equivalent

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Forklift certified
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English)
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • PTL systems
  • General inventory processes
  • Basic computer knowledge
