The role:
As a Microbiologist I at Herbalife International, you have the outstanding opportunity to be part of a world-class team that focuses on delivering outstanding consumer goods. Located in the vibrant city of Lake Forest, you will play a meaningful role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products through meticulous microbiological analysis. This position offers the chance to collaborate with various corporate groups including Research and Development and Global Licensing, providing a dynamic and inclusive work environment.
How you would contribute:
- Perform tests of raw materials and finished products for microbial contamination.
- Complete preservative efficacy testing to ensure product safety.
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues to maintain flawless operations.
- Support training initiatives to help develop and improve team skills.
- Prepare and standardize reagents to ensure accurate testing.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment for efficient performance.
- Validate procedures used in the micro lab to meet strict quality standards.
- Assist in developing microbiological specifications for new product introductions.
- Prepare and present technical reports to managers, co-workers, and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
- Two to five years of laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Microbiology or related field.
Preferred qualifications:
- Quality Control experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
- Five years of prior experience in a Quality Control laboratory setting.
