POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Warehouse Manager will support the Director of Manufacturing by managing and driving all warehousing activities in support of the overall plant operation. Management of warehouse activities include ensuring the receipt, coordination, sanitary transport and safety of goods are being processed through the facility including orders are being received and dispatched in a timely matter to appropriate destinations in proper quantities. Functions that the Manager will supervise include receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping or transporting. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the efficient and accurate flow of products from the point of material receipt from suppliers, material delivery to manufacturing, finished goods receipt from manufacturing, and shipping to distributions centers.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Maintain a safe work environment in the warehouse at all times.
• Ensure that all safety requirements are followed at all times.
• Lead, coach, and train warehouse personnel responsible for: receiving, storing, counting, retrieving and transporting inventory to support manufacturing and distribution.
• Provide planning, direction and coordination for all warehouse related activities while achieving the optimum use of workers, equipment, materials and facilities.
• Develop work practices, standard operating procedures, and work instructions to increase overall performance, maintain inventory accuracy, optimize handling, improve material flow efficiency, and enhance space utilization.
• Responsible for establishing clear performance requirements and measuring performance of personnel staff as well as supporting their development.
• Ensure that the warehouse is operated and maintained according to established cGMP requirements.
• Oversee receiving and shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Work closely with Quality and Purchasing to isolate and disposition non-conforming incoming materials and products – including interaction with suppliers.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality and distribution groups to process receipts, inspections, transfers, returns, etc. to support manufacturing activities.
• Ensure that all inventory related transactions are electronically recorded as soon as they occur to maintain an accurate perpetual inventory.
• Assist Inventory Control Supervisor with physical inventories and cycle counts to provide the organization with both accurate counts and financial valuation.
• Ensure proper implementation of systems throughout warehousing operations and trains personnel on proper use.
• Develop warehouse operation system improvements by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes to improve productivity.
• Provide subject matter expertise on warehouse management, storage, inventory management practices, WMS systems.
• Lead, coach, and empower team members in a positive manner to enhance their potential and their contributions to key performance goals for the company
• Responsible for overall safety, cleanliness, security and organization of warehouse. Participate in planning personnel safety and protection activities.
• Assist in making recommendations and implementing approved projects to effectively manage, track, control and supervise inventories of raw materials, packaging, incoming shipments in addition to shipping and receiving controls and activities
• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow
• Apply continuous improvement, 5S, and lean manufacturing principles to build department and systems to best of class
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directly manage the Inventory and Process Control and Warehouse Supervisor.
• Indirectly responsible for a team of 50 warehouse personnel.

Experience:
• 8 years of progressive Warehouse and Inventory Management experience including WMS.
• Previous experience in collaborating across multiple departments.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree
• May consider candidate with an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in a cGMP environment.
• Previous experience in an Oracle WMS
