THE ROLE:
Provide support to Finance Director in the cost accounting and inventory reporting area. The primary responsibilities are to implement and lead cycle counting procedures, plan and manage physical inventories, report on key inventory metrics, and develop inventory processes. This role will work cross functionally between Finance, Production, Planning, QA, QC, Tech Ops and Purchasing to ensure proper inventory records.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
• Develop plant inventory cycle counting procedures
• Lead and manage all site physical inventories
• Assist management with development of departmental goals and objectives.
• Develop reporting structures to collect key inventory metrics deemed necessary by management. These include cycle count accuracy, inventory turns, days on hand, inventory carrying cost, etc.
• Responsible for developing obsolete and slow moving inventory reserves.
• Develop, implement, and document inventory controls and procedures in all production areas that will increase material throughput speeds while minimizing errors.
• Prepare and present analysis to management to more optimize inventory levels.
• Provide ad hoc reporting as needed to management.
• Work cross functionally between Finance, Purchasing, Planning, QA, QC, Tech Ops and Production to reduce material waste
• Validate picking rules in warehouse management system to ensure FIFO inventory lots are being applied.

• Interact with all levels of management including executive management
• Assist in process and system upgrades and enhancements
• Assist in training of newly hired inventory representatives
• Demonstrates initiative in all aspects of Inventory
• Ability to work with conflicting priorities and meet department goals
• Communicates effectively and clearly in verbal and written form.
• Interact effectively with co-workers, management and vendors in order to resolve problems.
• Assist management in conducting formal procedural inquiries and investigations to resolve cause of quality problems, recommend verbal and/or written corrective action to management as required • Adhere to GMPs and SOPs
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Skills:
• Proficient with PC skills including Windows, Excel and Word
• Ability to solve practical problems and take care of a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to effectively present information to management
• Ability to organize workload and multitask to meet goals.

Experience:
• 3 - 5 years manufacturing experience
• 3 - 5 years prior inventory management experience
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Supply Chain or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Advanced Excel skills
• Prior supervisory experience
• Experience in Oracle
• Experience in a regulated field
• CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management)
