Overview

 

THE ROLE:

 

The First Shift Maintenance Inventory Coordinator will work onsite at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in Lake Forest, CA. Plays a meaningful role in managing the inventory and procuring the supplies necessary for the maintenance department. The individual in this role ensures that the maintenance team has the resources needed to perform their duties efficiently and without delays.

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:   
    
•    Researching parts and ensuring the maintenance department is receiving the best price, keeping the team advised of stock levels, deliveries, and alternative solutions when items are unavailable. 
•    Maintain accurate records of maintenance inventory, including tools, equipment, and spare parts. 
•    Monitor stock levels and reorder parts/supplies as needed, conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
•    Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers to order necessary maintenance parts and materials, negotiate pricing and delivery terms to ensure cost-effectiveness, and track shipments and ensure   timely delivery of items.
•    Maintenance Support: Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify required parts and tools for scheduled or emergency repairs. Ensure critical items are stocked and readily available for unplanned maintenance needs.
•    Database and Record-Keeping: Use inventory management software to log transactions and track inventory, maintain detailed records of equipment warranties and service histories.
•    Communication and Coordination: Work closely with maintenance supervisors, vendors, and accounting teams. Provide regular updates on inventory levels and procurement activities to management.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

 

Skills


•    Proficient with Microsoft Suite products and extended knowledge of Oracle software
•    Experience with computerized inventory programs
•    Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, preferably e-Maintenance
•    Knowledge of nutritional/scientific terminology
•    Ability to work independently and within a team, and communicate effectively with fellow associates, clients, contractors and vendors
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize work and multitask to complete assigned tasks.
•    Maintains confidentiality of company-sensitive and proprietary information 
•    Ability to communicate with all levels of management and able to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships
•    Compliance with all Company policies, work rules, safety regulations and good housekeeping requirements
•    Maintain a clean and orderly work area
•    Driven demeanor, exhibits time sensitivity in completing tasks and job assignments correctly and on time

 

 

Experience:


•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance or industrial environment.
•    Prior experience in inventory management or inventory control.
•    Familiarity with maintenance operations, tools, and equipment is highly beneficial.
•    Ability to read blueprints, schematics and parts diagrams. 
•    Auditing Inventory stores, reporting discrepancies and investigating variances.

 

Education:


•      High School Diploma

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

•    Working knowledge of warehousing operations as it relates to the specific functions of inventory system.
•    Working experience in a cGMP facility
•    Experience working in a warehouse with material handling equipment and conveyance
