Overview

THE ROLE:

 

The Supervisor, Quality Control will work onsite at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, NC. Will be responsible for monitoring and guiding day to day testing activities in the Quality Control laboratory. The Supervisor works with and trains Technicians to conduct testing on raw materials and final products, reviews test results for accuracy and assures the tests adhere to internal SOPs and guidelines. The Supervisor will also communicate to other departments outside of the QC lab to report test results for release, screening, and stability. This position will maintain the bench work in compliance with cGMP & ISO 17025 requirements including Herbalife protocols, policies and procedures. 

 

 

 

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

  • Manage laboratory compliance and adherence to SOPs and test methods.
  • Provide reports to management pertaining to laboratory activities.
  • Handle OOS investigations.
  • Provide training on cGMP compliance in laboratory operations.
  • Support other Supervisors in interacting with regulatory authorities on laboratory compliance.
  • Participate in auditing and regulatory inspections.
  • Evaluate Technicians on laboratory practices 
  • Provide troubleshooting guidance and potential solutions for laboratory problems.
  • Ensure scheduled tasks are completed by Technicians.
  • Responsible for producing high quality laboratory data. 
  • Responsible for and empowered to stop an analysis that may produce poor quality results as required by ISO 17025.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

 

Skills:

 

•    Ability to work with all levels in organization and to persuade/negotiate with cross-functional team
•    Excellent communication skills, writing and computer skills are essential
•    Knowledge in relevant fields of analytical techniques 
•    Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills 
•    Attention to detail  
•    Demonstrated/documented ability to work in a team

•    Ability to fix instruments/troubleshoot
•    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or in group situations

 

Experience:

 

•    5 years’ experience performing analytical chemistry testing in a laboratory environment
•    Prior experience leading projects or other initiatives.  
•    Laboratory Compliance experience

 

Education:


•    Bachelor's degree with a major in a Chemistry or relevant scientific field 
•    GMP Course Training
•    Regulatory training
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, Excel and power point)
