HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Develop a deep understanding of the current-state Principles of Operation for our packaging lines, including the impacts on upstream and downstream processes.
- Independently operate key packaging equipment (filler, checkweigher, sealer, metal detector, capper) and support the design of experiments (DOEs), trials, and troubleshooting activities.
- Build expertise in future-state packaging capabilities to optimize process parameters and tooling for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Analyze how raw materials and formulations influence process parameters, tooling requirements, and line performance.
- Create and maintain user-friendly quick-reference guides for process parameters and tooling to support consistent performance across shifts and team members.
- Partner closely with R&D to support new formula introductions, reformulations, and new SKU launches, ensuring a smooth transition from lab to production.
- Plan and implement DOEs in the Pilot Lab, interpret results, and communicate data-driven recommendations to technical and non-technical collaborators.
- Support feasibility studies, including powder flow testing, particle size distribution analysis, and loose/tap density evaluations.
- Contribute to cost-savings and yield optimization projects focused on reducing packaging line losses and improving overall equipment effectiveness.
- Flex to support other areas of Manufacturing when needed, demonstrating a team-first perspective and commitment to shared goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role may provide informal leadership through mentoring, coaching, and guiding work for peers or technicians.
